The W at Garfield was created out of our love for bringing people together through good food, intentional details, and beautifully curated spaces.

What started as a vision for our own outdoor living space during 2020 slowly transformed into something bigger.
We wanted to create a space that felt intimate, elevated, warm, and intentional, a place where people could celebrate life's moments without needing a big venue or over-the-top production: just good people, good energy, and a beautifully curated atmosphere.

Hi! We're Tatanisha & Derrick.
For more than a decade, we've created content and experiences centered around food, entertaining, and intentional gathering.
What started as sharing recipes and hosting inspiration online evolved into creating a space where people can come together in real life and make meaningful memories.
Derrick brings the food and flavor to the experience, from smoking and grilling to creating memorable meals for guests.
Tatanisha brings the atmosphere to life through tablescapes, styling, florals, and thoughtful details that make every gathering feel special.
Together, we created The W at Garfield to be a warm, modern space designed for intimate events, relaxed celebrations, and beautiful moments shared around the table.
