What Types Of Events Do You Host?

 

We host intimate dinners, birthday celebrations, anniversaries, brunches, girls' nights, date nights, cocktail hours, content-creator events, workshops, private tastings, small-business gatherings, and seasonal experiences. And honestly, it doesn't even have to be a special occasion. Sometimes the best gatherings are simply an excuse to get good people around the table.

 

How Many Guests Can The W Accommodate?

The space is designed for intimate gatherings. Our preferred guest count for catered experiences is 12 or fewer to ensure the best possible experience. If your party is larger than 12 guests, feel free to reach out, and we can discuss options for accommodating larger gatherings.

Is Food Included With The Booking?

​

We offer curated food experiences and host dining packages depending on the event. Some experiences include full meals, grazing tables, brunch spreads, dessert pairings, or cocktail experiences. Custom options may also be available depending on your event needs.

Can I Bring My Own Food Or Caterer?

Yes. We'll discuss your event needs during the inquiry process to determine what works best for your gathering.
 

Can I Bring My Own Decorations?
 

Yes, in many cases, you can bring additional decor items. We just ask that all decor be discussed ahead of time to ensure it works within the space and setup timeline.
 

How Long Are Events At The W?
 

Most experiences range from 3–4 hours, depending on the package and event type. Additional time may be available for an added fee.
 

Is Music Allowed?
 

Yes. Music is welcome and helps set the vibe. We can discuss playlists, speaker setups, and volume expectations during the planning process.
 

Are Pets Allowed?
 

Guest pets are not permitted.
 

Is The Space Wheelchair Accessible?

Yes, alcohol is permitted for private events and curated experiences. Depending on the event setup, guests may BYOB or select from add-on beverage experiences. We also offer customized mocktail experiences featuring handcrafted seasonal drinks that feel just as special and thoughtfully curated as the cocktails.

Do You Offer Tablescape Styling?

​

Absolutely. Tablescapes are kind of our thing. From layered textures and candles to florals and seasonal styling, we create table moments that feel elevated without feeling overly formal. We can keep things simple and understated or scale things up for a more luxurious experience. We also work with local vendors for specialty rentals, including tables, chairs, linens, and decor pieces.

Is The W Available Year-Round?

​

The W is a seasonal outdoor space, typically open during the warmer months in Michigan, generally April through October. Availability may vary depending on weather conditions.

Is There A Rain Plan?

​

Yes. Michigan weather likes to keep everybody on their toes, so we always discuss backup options before your event date. Depending on the weather and timing, we may adjust the setup, move the timing later in the day, or reschedule for another available date.

Please note: if rain affects your event on the day of the gathering or the day before, deposits will not be refunded because food, floral, and decor purchases have already been made in preparation for your event. We are always happy to discuss rescheduling options whenever possible.

Can I Book The Space For Content Creation?

​

Yes. The W is available for select content shoots, brand collaborations, styled shoots, and creator sessions.

Do You Offer Custom Experiences?

​

Yes. We love creating intentional experiences centered around your vision. Whether it's a themed brunch, anniversary dinner, cocktail night, garden-inspired gathering, or something unique, we can customize details to fit your event.

Is Parking Available?

Yes. Parking information will be provided before your event.

How Far In Advance Should I Book?

​

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weekends and seasonal dates during spring, summer, and fall. A deposit is required to secure your event date.

How Do I Reserve My Date?

​

Do You Require A Deposit?

​

Yes. A deposit is required to secure your event date and is typically 50% of your total package price.

Deposits are refundable up to 72 hours before your scheduled event date. The remaining balance of your package is due 72 hours before your event.

​

Due to the custom nature of our experiences and the advance purchasing of food, florals, rentals, and decor, cancellations made within 72 hours of the event are non-refundable.

For events with per-person pricing, guest no-shows on the day of the event are non-refundable.

​

Can Children Attend Events At The W?

​

No. The W is designed as an 18+ experience.
 

What Makes The W Different?

​

The W was created to feel personal, intentional, and welcoming—not overly formal or cookie-cutter. Around here, we believe beautiful experiences don't require a ballroom. Sometimes all you need is good food, good people, candlelight, and somebody remembering to light the citronella candles before dusk.
